what would you use for towing.

Here is the deal. I am thinking anout buying a small camper trailer. One of those airstream bambi ones. They are about 5000 lb.

My question is what do i use to towe it. My choice are merceses ml 320 or bmw x5 4.4. I know the 4.4 is the faster car but is the ml better for towing. What would you use and why.

well... you are on the BMW xOutpost forum... let me guess... hmmm... i think i will use a KenWorth... wait!!!... i don't have one... so, i will have to settle for an X5....

lol... with all the problems that the X's are plaqued, i've heard that the MB is even worse.. lol... my wife's 2012 C300 last night refused to start... out of blue!!! an MBrace service jumped the car, but why in the hell a garage kept car, with 26K miles will have a dead battery in summer??? mystery!!!!

she would not admit but from all the posts on this forum i have come to a conclusion that most problems that can't be replicated are happening with the cars while in the hands of wives... go figure!!!

All kidding aside, the X5 make a really good tow vehicle. Search the forum as this has been discussed before. Also search for tow hitches. The preferred / recommended setup is the factory hitch, not an aftermarket.

i remember a post on the huge thread (what you did to X thread), i think from Cisco (?), when his girlfriend blew his tire by running onto something, and calling him and telling him that something was wrong with HIS truck, and when he came to the scene, she was sitting there, eating chicken... i have to find that post now!!!
