27.2 MPG for 200 miles RT, Computer Glitch?
![]() Reset the onboard computer, run a 200 miles round trip (100 miles from Lynchburg to Blacksburg). Pure highway, including some hilly roads, and mountains. Now, computer shows me 27.2 MPG??? Something wrong? Pretty much 65 MPH the whole way, just can't believe my eyes. Any thought?

Anecdotal, simply based on that stretch of travel, the conditions and a light foot...
Drive it another 200+ miles on that tank, in your usual non-highway situ, and the OBC will say much less. Do some tanks with arith, and you will not 'average' 27, even with the 3.0... I have spent 12 years driving ours: occasionally see some remarkable number for a segment of a trip, but never 27 over a full tank... Must be MPG Contest Week, here on the Board. ![]() GL, mD
