LED Halos and new spark plugs

Hello guys, so when I first got the x5 the engine wasn't running the way it should and in the dealer records it was mentioned to have the sparks changed but the dealer I got it from refused to get it changed at the BMW dealer so 100$ later I put them in my self.

So I don't think the sparks have been ever been changed so these sparks might be the same ones for engine break in also.

So went to my auto parts store "NAPA" and asked for the spark plugs that I needed and laser platinum was the contender but the price of these suckers where close to 25 bucks a pop, and since I work for Canadian National CN rail, we get a discount at some stores and NAPA was one of them so I only had to pay 99.97 for all 8

After taking the spark plugs out this what they looked like.

After changing the sparks the X5 ran soo much smoother and didn't have that small shake on start up, also got better gas and every thing.

Now on to the halo lights, after seeing some of you guys buy those ebay LED lights for the halo light I just wanted them right off the batt, I looked around and found a new set locally.

The seller I bought them from is also a member on here not sure what his user name was lol forgot but I think his name was mike lol any how these are the 25W LEDs split in to 2 so o12.5 each?

Any how these are some pics not the best as my DRL are not deactivated

I love the look of it now but need to rid them day running lights lol

Sorry can't help you with the running light question.

I suggest you use this thread to get an answer: http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...cs-expert.html

The following is a link to a forum dedicated to coding: BMW forum. Diagnostics, coding, programming, repair BMW vehicles. - Powered by vBulletin. I recently started learning about what can be done and searched the forum. I have difficulty finding what I need but you may be better at the search criteria and understanding the jargon.

Lol. I just did my plUgs also. All 8 for 57 bucks from eBay.

The led lights also just came in. I think mines are only 12watts. I don't really care about the brightness. I just got them to replace the Burnt out one.

However yours look great.

Your old plugs don't look all that bad. Are you missing a push fan in front of the radiator?

They don't look bad but they are bad enough to have the engine run a bit rough after the change the engine had 0 shake to it and sounded much better and yeah like bpowa said its in the back lol

I spent about $40 for the spark plugs on my iS.
Hard to see the AE with the running light. Maybe taking picture with the engine off? You would have to deal with the DRL since it's required in Canada, right?

Regarding pusher fan, I think N62 engine doesn't have it.

Looking good!
I have been debating about getting an aftermarket set of AE's...I gotta see one in person before i pull the trigger... Any chance i can stop by your place some time and have a quick look at what they look like during the day light?

As for turning of DRLs... there are a few threads on this forum that explain how to convert your AEs to run as DRLs...

Looking at one of your pics - are you running Afe intake? How do you like it?
