Red face New to Xpost- 05 X5 3.0 Areo package 60k Miles

Hey Guys,

This is my 1st BMW so I thought to start with a X5. It floods a bit where i live so my other car Subaru STI 535whp on E85 will be now my weekend warrior. It replaced my 180k Lincoln Navigator!

The X5 is about Style & Fuel efficiency holding some stuff. It has the Areo Package, Pano, luggage, business radio with black leather.

I paid $16k + tax/title/fees

Here is my dilemma they told me that it had a few options that it didn't end up having Sport & Trailer packages. I'm new and didn't know what to look for.

NOW I'm in a fight with the dealership.. they don't wanna honor what they handed me in paper with their name on it guaranteeing the options that the X5 was supposed to have. As I'm building a case to take to small claims. I've searched the forums a bit I can't find exactly that.

I went there and tried to get some answer they didn't offer me much more then a bootleg trailer hitch from Reese or some other lesser brand.

I need some help.

I need an image of an BMW document for a 05 X5 3.0 with Sport Package & towing with costs associated with them. ( any help would be appropriated )

Thanks,
Chuck III

Nice but needs much more tire/wheel to fill those flairs.

Yeah My mods will be:

- 4.8 20" 168 Wheels 7 spoke design Wheels
- Update the radio ( what do you like Chinese & vs an add on box? )
- LED Swap out from the current interior lights
- Trailer hitch
-Angle Eye's to white
- Needs Muffler tips badly... any suggestion?

I just had the Stealership do a once over on the car & Oil Change. ($224)
I plan on doing Spark plugs & Coolant when I have time next weekend.
( just need to learn the how to do it )

TMV,

Yes, I know I don't have the options ( from the factory or added on) .. But the dealer claimed I did when i bought the car... ( In writing their letter head.) So, I'm gonna be picking up the plate at the end of the month.

I want to outline the costs of the 2005 Sport Package & Trailer Package that was promised on the car that was not included. To try and score some money back that they purposely mislead me into believing that was included in the car.

It might go to small claims court or they might be cool and work out some sorta deal.. Will see but i really want to have all my ducks in a row.

Curious what kinda $ amount you would settle on if you were in my shoes?

I would think 50% cost of the options would be the min I would accept for the options mis-represented.

FWIW, that aero pkg does NOT look its best on OE wheels, If it were me I would look at V710s in the 10-11" width, no bigger then 20" dia......

Welcome to the forum, X looks nice, I think the plan you have for the wheels will look real nice. As for the maintenance, there are plenty of DIY on here under How to's at the top of the page. Very helpful ppl on here.
