New guy here!

Hi everyone! So, after a looong time of lurking around here and getting tons of great info, even before I bought my X, I finally decided to start posting
Thanks to everyone on here who has posted about DISA valves, suspension, electronics, and their experiences/suggestions. You have helped me fix and slowly continue to customize my X since I bought it!
A little history on it. I bought it last year in September from the original owners after looking for one for a long time. It had about 232K miles which didn't scare me too much since I knew from other members here that if properly maintained the engine can last for a long time and that is exactly what this one was, I was able to verify from the dealer that they had serviced the car there since new and the owners were looking for a quick sale as they had just bought a new truck so...lets just say I got a really good deal

So far I relocated from AZ to MN and drove him here with zero problems, added my own custom front license plate holder that can be removed to keep the clean front look, added a Grom Audio aux cable and did the Essam Sub, DISA Valve, Intake Boot, Interior Trim painted to black, Headlight Restore, Fog Light HID 6000K, PlastiDip bits and pieces, other things I might be forgetting, and the most recent the Rear Bumper Valance Trim painted.
I'll post more pics later.
Here he is... yes he's a he and his name is Max.

First day I got him

First "real" winter in MN

congrats>> I am new too.. I guess it makes more sense than buying a highmilage 4.4..

Im sure its easier and more room to repair if you DIY.

Thanks Terminator!

bpowa, cool! Yeah I almost got a 4.4i but I opted for the 3.0i since I was a little more familiar with the engine, moving up from the E34, and I knew I could do almost all of the maintenance myself.

Lol. Nice. Looks clean. Previous owner took care of it. I just picked up a 04 4.4. With 156k miles. It has more dings. So far I cleaned the pcv valves and found the breather hose crack. I taped it for now and still blowing white smoke for extended idle. I am driving it for a couple weeks and figure what else it needs before handing it over to my wife. But I don't mind having it for myself. Its a nice vehicle.

Max looks good. Another TitSilver with bottom rear bumper painted. Now get the exhaust tips done.
Here's my old girl.

Hey TMV, how did you get the exhaust tips done?
Where did you purchase them from?
