OBC OPTION 7 KTMP

Hello all , for those that have brought up this reading via the OBC number test 7, what kind of temps do you see when the car temp needle hits midway? On mine does not seem to go much higher than 69C – not sure being a diesel matters?, and I have no problem as such but am curious

There was a thread sowewhere that everybody was throwing there running temps into. IIRC, all models of gas engines ranged from 94-107 op temps. Don't recall seeing any diesel temps, tho.

I think that was my pump/thermostat replacement thread. I had been at 99 previously, now 106-108 and since my mileage is up alot (14.2 before, 16 now). I have a 4.4 so not diesel.

6 cyl gassers are usually low to a bit past mid 90's.

The V8's seem to be around low 100's to about 110 or so.

That's too cold as your thermostat is 88C. It's probably stuck open.
