No hint of fade the entire time lol. They returned to normal color after an hour.
What pads are you using?

StopTech 309's. Great all-around use and they don't mind being heated up a little. They are in service with Brembo 15"/14" rotors and LCF 600 Plus fluid.

Kevlar/carbon/caramic/brass composition. Good match for drilled/slotted rotors.

I ask because I got the same color on my rotors after 2 cycles of 12 HARD stops from 60 to 10 followed by a few stops from +100 to 10, Cool Carbon pads. They had the violet tint for a few days then settle into a straw/brass hue transfer layer of pad material. Love the linear bite regardless of temp.

I can't get fade with the drilled/slotted, Cool Carbon pads and Ate Blue Racing fluid. OE setup would begin fading after 7 stops from 60 with the Ate Blue Racing fluid.

If it is general BMW carnage you want I can give this from 2005 when I lived in Morelia Mx.:

Timeline of an accident - R3VLimited Forums

First destruction:

Second collection of replacement parts:

Third removal of damaged parts:

Fourth reconstruction:

And finally FINISHED & HOME!!!!

TiAg, I kinda wish I could get those friction rings in blanks... but it does the job. :p Sounds like you're happy with your setup!

e30, great work on the resto!

hardest part was driving the 900 miles each way to the closest BMW junk yard near San Antonio for those parts. e30 was never sold in Mexico, no parts to be had.

This is how it looked when I sold it.

On it's way to Ohio.
