can anyone help? (2004 x5 navigation system service mode)

Hello everyone!
My x5 2004 came from japan, but it's like German (lefthand drive). It is in mint condition. The only thing I don't getvis a slightly dimmed navigation monitor. I have read posts on how to get into the service mode of navigation units, but mine is a bit different (it is dvd rom and has a compactflash drive as well) and nothing seems to work. Please help. And if there is any way I can upgrade the software. Thanks a lot. Here is the link to what it looks like.

Group ZB CE Navi Japan mit DVD AG No 65.90 6981944 9060 Alpine Navigation System DVD ROM COMPACTFLASH-in Car DVD from Automobiles & Motorcycles on Aliexpress.com

Thanks everyone in advance.

Tarash
