If the leather is ok and not ripped and it is just the colour which has faded then a couple of coats of good old fashioned shoe polish will do the trick. I have had cars before with black leather seats where the colour has faded quite bad. After it had a good soak with Kiwi parade gloss black leather shoe polish they came up as good as new.

Leather is not torn, the thigh bolster nearest the door is kinda flattened, creased, and lost color from being slid on in and out of. Middle and other bolster is fine. Had a combination of short previous owner and no running boards.
I'm not sure if polish will do anything, seing as it has lost color in some areas? Will post pics

you will be surprised. leather is not naturally black but is dyed this colour. As it is a natural fibre the oils, waxes and pigments in the shoe polish will actually dye the leather on your seats. give it a try before you go and spend hundreds on replacing the leather.

x2 in SoCal I would imagine there are a ton of custom car shops around, I'm sure they can reshape or add padding to the stock cushion/bolster area and re-wrap with fresh leather or leatherette!

Yup that's an option, am also looking at on-line sources if there are any to get a feel of the different options available. Will try the cleaners as well.
GAHH and World Upholstery look to be OEM level suppliers but they dont have my application on their on-line catalogs :/

i bought the foam base for my sport seats and had a trimmer fit them, worked so well i went and bought a replacement for the passengers front base as well,
ive now done 120,000 km on them and they still look good, ive used liquid shoe polish on the piping on the drivers seat backrest side bolster and it works well. i would try the kiwi boot polish but would get it nice and hot first to get it to flow easier. |

Hmmm, thanks white lancer and big wave on the polish suggestion. Worth a try while deciding on a permanent solution!
