Stereo & Amp

Hey All,

So the sound was cutting in and out but it's finally fully died. I believe it to be the amp.

My stereo has the DSP button in the top right corner. Does that mean I have the more expensive amp?

Are there any options other than replacing with an OEM amp?

I don't know about the DSP question, but I see you're short a few pixels (and it'll only get worse). I just re-did ours with a silver cable from pixelfix. It was a PITA to do but I got it first try.

Thanks! I will fix the pixels if I keep the OEM head unit. Really just trying to get music to play. My wife has had enough of the silent driving!

Has it lost all channels? Tried percussive maintenance? Check fuses in the HU and in the remote amp. But cutting in/out on all channels may be a solder joint problem on either the HU or the amp.

We switched ours back from an aftermarket JVC HU with nav and greatly prefer the sound of the OE setup.

Can you hear a hum from the speakers as if it won't pick up stations or is it totally silent?
Will a CD play properly?

It was intermittent before with a popping sound when going in/out.

Now it's total silence. No hum.

do you have a BT unit fitted? are there any green lights next to the TEL under the DSP button? sometimes BT unit cuts in and silences the system... without any actual phone calls present...
