I dont have BT and no DSP. When you click thru the options on the MID, nothing happens.I will check the fuses

I checked fuses #7 (glove box) , #72,73 (cargo) they all seem to be intact. fuses correspond to 'radio'

driving everyday for the last week without a radio has been driving me nuts.

Any suggestion? Im willing to take any suggestions.

Not sure if the fuse mentioned below has any affect on the MID...but just tossing it out there....

There's a 10amp fuse in the back of the in-dash cassette?/CD? radio (question marks are because you still have no signature that reveals what model/model year/build date...and I'll lose what I've already written in the message box if I close out and go back to reread the 1st page in this thread to see if you mentioned this pertinent info in an earlier reply).

Please help us help you better by creating a signature that includes your model/model year/build date.

(depending on model year, you may have flat pins instead of round pins)

I went to the car, removed the MID to take the photos in doing so i disconnected the power. This time when I inserted it in frustration I pushed it in and wiggled it around and magically it worked...... I honestly have no clue how it was not connecting before since it is a secure clip
E53 4.4L (09/04)

Thank you Qsilver7 and everyone else on the forum for suggestions!! I appreciate it

On the right side of the unit everything is closed off. no fuse just an aluminum casing all around

Great...glad the problem revealed itself...and the fuse I referred to in post #15 is on the back of either your cassette/radio or CD/radio unit...not the MID.
