major problem, drive shaft I think...

I think I have a big problem, it happened while I was arriving at the family Thanksgiving dinner, now I'm stuck in Temecula, CA, hoping I can find a shop out here that's opened and can help me.
My car suddenly started vibrating like crazy at high RPMs on the FWY, when I got off the FWY ans started using 2nd and 3rd gears it was getting worst with each mile. After a while it was vibrating even more at lower RPMs as well.
It feels like driving on huge bricks, the noise and feel is as if I were on those bumps that are on the side of the road warning you are outside of your lane, but extra large. I think it may be the drive shift, could it be? Drive shaft center bearing? Any thoughts?

I'm afraid to drive back to L.A., I need to find a shop in Temecula, any members in this area that could point me to the right place?

Without looking up underneath your vehicle, I think you have come to the right starting point for a diagnosis.
Out of curiosity does the vibration reduce or increase with throttle pressure?
The vehicle we are discussing is it the e46? W/ manual trans?
Go to penskeparts.com look up your application, click on drive shaft images

I have a friend in temecula who is a bmw machanic at the esco dealer and does work on the side. I could tex him if you want.......

Yes E46 manual. It does inverse with throttle.

Here's the reply from my buddy Pete.

Thanks. Hope you had a good thanksgiving too. Tell to go to Murrieta BMW. Talk to chad the service writer. Tell him I sent him "Pete from Encinitas" BMW. If he goes further tell him to request Vince the technician to work on it. At least pay 1 hour if diagnoses to get it figured out. Then go from there. As for me doing it on the side. negative.

Tell your friend that my cousin Thomas is also a technician at BMW Encinitas, unfortunately he's working today and my car is at his house in Temecula, I won't even make it to Encinitas or Murrieta, I need something within max 10mil from here.
