how long did your original door latch assembly last vs. your new one ?
My original lasted 10+yrs/130k and the replacement 11mos/10k miles. It(BMW unit) was replaced by BAV but the new one(also BMW) does not have a warranty. Have you bought a non BMW unit and had it last longer? I would bet it is not an OEM part or they would not fail so quick. They are not cheap, $175 and up.
