Angry Plastic bumper repair

Some fiend seems to have scraped my bumper, must have been in the parking lot while shopping, though I deliberately park away from the herd in an effort to avoid this sort of thing.

I know there are products for repairing scratches, road rash, etc, but that's for the fiberglass. How do you get paint transfer off your plastic bumper without marking the bumper itself? Is my only hope sanding it down then plastidipping the whole bumper?

3m compound. Start low and work high depending on how severe the transfer is. It's not something that can be applied by hand, so just be aware of that.

working in the bodyshop for over 10yrs we would use thinners on stuff like that and comes off easly . just have 1 rag with thinners and a dry rag to wipe it off right away, don`t leave it on any more than a few seconds a time ,just go back and forth with the rags its simple dude. if you leave it on to long you will soften the clear coat. if you do have scratches in the paint you will need to buff em out though.

As long as the actual paint underneath isnt torn away, just get some rubbing compound and a bottle of polish, microfiber or 2, and will look like new in a few min.. Depending how good its on there it might take harder rubbing.

Yep, rubbing compound or maguire's cleaner wax removes paint transfer and scuffs extremely easily.

I'd try the cleaner wax first as you won't have to polish/wax after. with rubbing compound it may leave micro-scratches depending on the pressure and grit of the compound.

The other option is a misting with goo-gone or goof-off. Mr Clean magic erasers work wonders as well without harming the paint.
