Passenger xenon lights turning purple/pinkish?

Just last night when I was driving I noticed that my passenger side xenon adaptive headlight bulb is shining a purplish color. Does anyone know if the oem bulbs are dying or ballast is bad? If it's a bulb issue I guess it's a great time to go aftermarket and get some 5K's or just return to 4300K? Any suggestions and why?

Any pointers is appreciated!

Thanks guys!

4300k will put the most useable light on the road. 5k are pure white, while 6k and beyond is reserved for the ricer.

Legit Phillips 85122's from TRS is my vote.

This guy ships from Utah and buys Philips 85122 in bulk (legit cases of bulbs):

Philips D2S (85122) - HIDbulbsRus

74 bucks shipped. The bulb turning pinkish is a sign that the bulb is going, time to replace and make sure you replace the pair. Stock 4300k is the most usable light I would stick with that.

Thanks a lot for your suggestions. Just checking- the headlights are bi-xenon, the required bulbs are the same as other xenon, right?

D2S bulbs are what you need.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is TRS?

The Retrofit Source. I get all my lighting gear from them...but Ricky's guy is cheaper and will deliver you the same product.

x2, I buy all my lighting from TRS, but for genuine Philips/GE bulbs, I use HIDbulbzrus. The guy who runs that store's father has aviation contracts with Philips so the son buys bulk pallet trays of bulbs from Philips weekly, and his dad is a sponsor on HIDPlanet.com (for us lighting junkies), so either way if you are supporting TRS or HIDPlanet sponsors you're good with me, I just point out that for whatever reason TRS sells the bulbs for 20 bucks more.

D2S bulbs are what you need, whether they are bi-xenon or not has nothing to do with the bulb, it has to do with the solenoid/shutter on the projector itself which opens up for high beam.

Awesome, guys, much thanks! I just placed an order for a pair.

While still on lighting, anyone of you light gurus know where I can find part #63122212788 - BMW interior lamp package LED set of 10? It Contains 6 LED modules for headliner-mounted lamps (dome lamp, reading lamp) along with 4 LED modules for footwell and door lamps. These replace the standard yellowish lamps that came with the car from factory.

Stealer reap off $145 for the package.
