After 3 long, hard months

I have finally found one.

Purchased from a BMW dealer in Texas. For a dealer, their price was actually pretty good. I'm the second owner; it was purchased, maintained/serviced, and traded in all at the same dealer. Every single thing that was ever touched on the car by the dealer I have a record of thanks to them. 74k miles, sapphire black, built in 7/2006, no accidents, paid $18,1 out the door. The only thing I was hesitant on about it was the driver window was broken at some point. (BMW glass label missing) But after removing the door panel and inspecting everything, it was fixed properly and everything was in order. 4 new tires, new brakes on all 4 corners, and the black leather interior is in mint shape. I absolutely love this thing! One of these have been on my hit list ever since a job assignment a while ago out at the BMW plant in Greer. Coming from the e36 m3 crowd, the fuel consumption has been a little rough, but I'm sure ill get used to that.

Nice work! Looks great. It pays to be patient. I'm sure it wasn't easy.

I looked at 7 of these before I decided on this one. Lots of driving, calling, and researching. This has been by far the most involved pre-purchase work oriented car purchase in my life!

Now just to find a pull out cargo floor, and tow package to retrofit. I've got a set of running boards sitting in the garage off a junk yard x5 just waiting to get put on.

nice find, indeed... now, the mods... running boards... check... tow package... you probably already know the board opinion - generally, we are for the OE set up, even though it is hard to find now days... with pull out cargo floor you lose couple inches of cargo space (you gain those inches under the pull out board - i keep tools, flares, spare fuses, rags, triangles there...)
If you are in TX, you might want to tint the glass a bit - I don't know the legality of it there, but considering the heat, i would think the looks of truck and the interior might benefit...

speaking of interior - might want to finish that carbon fiber trim... looks good...

Yup....I ran out of the carbon wrap before I made it to the center console. I need to order some more from Amazon. As far as the tow package goes, my plan is to find one in the junk yard with the tow package option and just strip everything off it like the running boards. I'm in Alabama, tint is legal here all around up to 30% in the front. It's definitely on the list!
