Ja, truffelbroun is a rare but sweet color, very nice on the sportsitze. Green Dragon my man, you have excellent photog skills, and know how to frame a picture and angle for lighting. You must also have a mighty fine smartphone if those were taken with one.

Thanks everyone. My HTC One did all the work.

I really do love the truffle Brown. I would bet all the E53's with a manual bolt action are all special order. When I was looking for......ah hem.... well now my third E53, it was hit or miss. It either was loaded and equipped like an enthusiast would desire, or it was geared for simplicity and not many frills which as we all know, has its merits.

I may have to dig up some photos of what my wife did to the X. The cargo topper was necessary. And also the rear hitch rack..... She laid down the back seats and made a custom memory foam bed back there. At first I was thinking, "What the hell?" , but after I climbed back there...... my opinion quickly changed. Traveling in the X5 has always been a pleasure, but this just took it up a notch. *You may not want to show this to your wife puddinboo, especially if she wants to go camping.

Haha, I hear ya pudding. Wife wanted to go on a long road trip to the boondocks, ice roads and all. I said something to the effect of 'this isn't that ugly ass pickup truck I didn't care about.' hahaha

I ownned mostley cars plus a chev 1/2 ton which I fixxed up and painted it myself and I wouldn`t even drive that off road or put anything in the box of it either I had a tunnel cover on it for show, the most I put in it was a duffel bag and groceries lol.I`ve always been a neat freak when it comes to vehicles,I`ll spend like a full day just cleanning them in the spring after the winter getting every bit of dirt I can find using a detailing brush something like a tooth brush in all the creveses. I don`t like detailing the engines to much just because of all the electronic these days its better to leave that part alone. I might clean up covers, airintakes and other items by hand only no spraying water in there .

2 things, you're absolutely right when lookin for a manual E53, either loaded to the gills, or bare bones, doesn't seem to be much in between. Mine has basically everything but navi and auto dim mirrors, and I was blessed with the 2 axle air susp lol.

Secondly, I gotta ask, with the limited headroom in the X with the seats folded down and a memory foam mattress laid on top, I'm guessing positions were limited, but the "camping trip" was a success?

At least now with the black headliner you won't be able to see any foot marks on the ceiling LoL!
