Hey Faz,
I was looking on realoem... If you look in the ENGINE ELECTRICAL section and then DIVERSE PLUGS AND CONNECTORS, you may be able to find it there. Can we get another angle on that clip? I am assuming the clip secures the harness to the body right?

The clip indeed secures the connectors to the body - you see the slit in the first picture? that is where the clip slides into... that slit is on the right hinge housing of the rear hatch - the left hosing does not have such a slot for a clip.
i have put the spoiler back together and clip is back there now , so i can't take another picture, unless i pull it apart again...this is not an imperative to have this part number - it is just in my quest to use the factory connectors for my retrofits, I was looking for a 2-pin OUTSIDE connector with both mating parts and this one was perfect to have... usually you can find just one half of the set - the mating half is integral part of a module, and in this case there was a complete set... |

That is a universal 2 pol socket used for the 3rd brake light...the diagrams uses this little icon {inside a triangle} in many of the diagrams to represent electrical sockets) Third stoplamp | BMW X5 E53 X5 4.4i N62 USA ![]() SLK socket contact | BMW X5 E53 X5 4.4i N62 USA ![]() Laminated contacts/spring contacts | BMW X5 E53 X5 4.4i N62 USA ![]()

yes, that is the diagram, and those are the connectors that are pointed to... but those are the actual pins (with crimped on wire) and not the plastic connector housings... that is the problem i am having - i can't find the plastic parts for the connectors...
i have the grommets, they are few styles throughout the entire BMW line, color coded for the size of the wire, there a few styles of the metal terminals, both males and females, some of them are mating, some - can't find the mates... i just wanted to have a matching set of the weatherproof connectors for outside applications of potential retrofits - as i mentioned before, it is not imperative, as i already have a few mating types of automotive connectors, just not the OE... no biggy guys, just thought that somebody may have had an experience with these mating connectors... back to wiring my rear facing camera (not reverse camera) |
