it is possible, and depending on your current setup, it might even be pre-wired... however, even pre-wired will call for heating relay, fuse, heat buttons and most important - the seatback(s) and cushion...
do you have xenons? |

Well do you want to go cheap or go oem?
You can retrofit the rear heated seats as they are pre wired and the switches are under the seats. You just need the switch pieces for the rear console and the heated rear bench and backrest from a 4.6/4.8. Or you could just plug a big heated blanket in the cgi lighter in the backseat for the kids and save the hassle ![]()

i have to dig through old threads, but one of fellas, ( i think Gregory from Switzerland) was contemplating that retrofit... the pre-wire depends on your current setup...
you need to have at least level 3 setup... Level 2 S235 - trailer hitch S502 - SRA (headlight washer) S508 - PDC S609 - Nav S624 through S629 - telephone/radio Level 3 S248 - steering wheel heater S261 - rear airbags S265 - RDC, tire pressure S461 - backrest heating system in the rear S496 - seat heating system in the rear S533 - rear air conditioner S536 - auxiliary heating system Level 4 S220 - single axle level control Level 5 S522 - xenon lights |

you should be pre-wired... easiest way to check - yank the seat cushion, look for empty plugs - those are the ones for the cushion and the backs...

Just keep a couple of these in the car and stuff them in their back pockets.
