Brandon I believe we're on two different subjects now. Let's take out off-roading and for sake of the conversation take out snow driving.
I simply stated that less tire pressure will result in more traction which is proven through laws of physics and that's it. You are now on the subject of skinny vs wide |

Lower tire pressure causes a wider contact patch, higher tire pressure causes a narrower contact patch.
So we are on the same topic of discussion.

Not going to give you a lesson, but ANYTHING that touches snow is causing friction. You would not be able to make a snow ball if it wasn't for friction.

Um... a snowball isn't formed by friction, it's formed by compression.
Go outside, let 10psi out of your tires and drive in the snow. Now go back and add pressure. Tell me which one allows you to drive better in the snow?

now I`m comparing sav tires to bike tires lol, I know for a fact that the skinny bike tires have more traction in snow than the wide mountain bike tires because the skinny tires are touching less ice equals more traction, touching more ice equal less traction, hope this makes sense took me awhile to figure it out ,then it just clicked.

OP's post was about "tire pressure" and not so much about wide tires versus skinny tires. Of course, higher pressure would yield a "skinnier" tire for the sake of argument, but also less contact patch area. But, think about it, when was the last time you saw one of those 4 wheel snowmobiles/ATV's with skinny tires?

I don't think I've ever seen a snowmobile with tires.
