Sorry to post this here but I have a feeling that not too many of us follow the BT forum?.... While my Mk4 nav unit was away being repaired... (fantastic guy in Romania (Mircea) - fast turnaround - and an excellent job done - look for (221354697031) - sorry for the plug but he really was good .... Anyway, I had a strange new menu on the 16:9, with the same options (obviously without GPS Navigation) which I guess was coming just from the BM54 unit which, under the telephone option, had a new function called 'function' which actually showed the signal strength etc. Once it came back fixed, I plugged in the Mk4 I got the normal slightly-more snazzy (well a little less like something from Teletext) menus but this option disappeared. Weird huh? Is there a way to see this from the 1.32 SW of the Nav? Anyway, on to the main problem. Voice recognition. The ULF supports it (has the MIT-SES on the label) . VR worked on the previous (now dead - and older) ULF, but now, no matter what I do with Navcoder, it doesn't bloody work with the new one. Tick the box. There's no option to select the language (probably a clue), code, reset, but still nothing from the VR button on the wheel. Has anyone else faced a similar problem? Thanks and sorry again for the misplaced post. Cheers, Kev. |
