argh! trunk latch!

so very tired of this. is there a way to reprogram the key on an 01 x5 so that you have to press it twice or something?

I'd say at least once every 3 days or so I get in the car and crank it up only to have the rear hatch light on the dash on.

I know its likely that as I'm pulling my keys out of my pocket I hit the button without realizing it and then when I shut the door, it jars it enough to half lock it back too.

I go back there and cant open it. have to either hit the key or the trunk button to re-pop it and then reclose it. so frustrating...
