Save 150 and just get the 5w led replacement bulbs on eBay for 50 bucks.

The optics of the rings don't allow for added brightness so if you just wanted led look, just go on eBay as I think Bimmian sells them for 200.

so by getting the weisslicht or the knockoff they would end up being the same brightness??

Get these for $60, and thank me later for saving you almost $150:

10W No Error CREE LED Angel Eye Halo Ring Light Bulb BMW E39 E60 E63 E65 E53 E83 | eBay

Like I said it's not about the Weisslicht being "not good", its about the fact that you only get so much brightness from the facelift rings, the optics only allow so much. You could put a 10,00000w halogen in there and it wouldn't be much brighter.

Those will give you the look you need, be bright enough compared to stock, and save some bucks for you.

Only thing I don't like about that is the 180 day warranty. I would buy one with at least a year

I should add that with any of these LED replacements you should be coding off the cold monitoring of angel eyes to eliminate the startup flicker, which could decrease the life of the LED's significantly.

If you do that I wouldn't worry about life of the bulbs.
