fog lights turn off automatically in reverse :(

Hi all.
I'm having an issue (I'm wondering if its with my LCM) with lighting.
When when I put my X in reverse, the halogen fog lights will shut off sometimes and will not work again by press of button (tho green fog light button is showing on dashboard) until x is restarted.
also, the same time that my fog lights crap out, I can not activate the high beam flash (halogen bulbs to flash or xenons to go into bi-xenon mode) by pull the highbeam stalk in quickly but low beam xenons and highbeam xenons work when I push the stalk away from me (yet my halogens do not turn on even though they have been coded to and have worked for years now).
its occured over the last few days a few times now... I'm wondering where to begin.

man I hate being a pioneer with a new problem. But someone's gotta be the guinea pig.

I will jump in and start the dialog.
I am sure you have checked the voltage at the battery when idling to make sure it is over 13.5. And all the rest of the normal stuff.
Try one trick and see if it does anything.
Disconnect the battery, wait 30 sec and touch both battery cables to each other to remove all stored energy and see if the system resets. I have come to the conclusion that some electrical systems get stupid for whatever reason. Most do it when they have seen less than 9.5 volts during cranking once. Some systems have the ability of stored memory that looses values when there are a drop below a certain value or have lost a good ground.
