Replacement Seat Covers

I've briefly looked over the years and never did come to the conclusion...

Does OEM seat covers exist for any our E53 models. I concluded it did not....but I do recall one poster who was able to get new covers from some Hook-Up he had

OE seat covers do exist. I actually have them for the rear and fronts. They're made from a very durable canvas material like.

My mistake. Never seen them from factory for our models. If you're looking to re-do yours, there is spot in Harlem or El Barrio that a forum member on here went to and they did a good job on re-doing his seats.

Depending the damage to your seat, you may find it more cost effective (this was my case) to buy a good, used seat. If you have a less common color (red, etc.) then you may spend quite some time hunting for this.

I converted from a factory cloth set-up to full used leather interior (with door panels, etc.) and gained power seats and seat heating for a fraction of seat repair shop cost.

Real OEM has these listed complete with part numbers, and a few internet advertising BMW dealers have them listed as well. The seat covers and backrest covers sell separately.

Never verified stock status/availability though.

Very expensive! IIRC it comes out to about $1,000 PER SEAT just for covers!!

I'm only really needing the front passenger. Just the outer bolster wear, even though I make it a point to *step out* and not rub it. My wife is another story......

The leather is fine, no cracks, etc. It is coated leather afterall. I'm reluctant to dye it, as the OEM stitching is not the same color and I want to keep it with the contrasting stitching

Ricky Bobby will become famous soon enough
could vouch for mrbmwx5, I'd recommend taking the seats off his hands if you can.
