Questions raised from smog paperwork

Looking at the sheet they gave me two questions come to mind.

A) How freaking much does an X5 weigh?

B) MIL command off means they turned it on and it accepted the off command?

Based on this GVWR is under 6000lbs so why is it in the 6001-8500 group?

To answer my own first question:

Look at your door jam sticker. My little 3.0i (MY2004) says its GVWR is 6008 lbs

That weight is for the cars total weight with occupants and gas tank full or something along those lines.

I forgot the exact number our curb weight is listed at im sure a 3.0 with lighter wheels and such weighs less then my 4.8 but i know they list it at 5100 or somewhere close to there on car sites.

I actually weighed mine ar a warehouse that has the semi scales and it came in at 4960 without me in the car and 1/4 gas.

Oddly my 4.4 sticker says 6005.

That is more than 6001 so that answers that.

Answer your second question: MIL Status Commanded Off. That means they checked to see if you had recently cleared your fault codes to turn off your check engine light. This keeps people from just deleting faults while they are sitting in line waiting for the inspection.
