You actually can check if it is low on oil. You just need a temp gun and open the fill hole. I will wait for others to confirm temp range, but I believe it is between 30C and 50C.
Procedure would be. 1. Car fully cold. 2. Start car. 3. Get under car right away, and open the fill hole. 4. No oil coming out, at this point, is a good thing. 5. Measure temp with temp gun, or INPA, or DIS. I have a computer. 6. When temp reaches the range, 30c to 50c, it should drip a bit. If it does not drip, you are low on oil. I suggest, you getting a bottle of oil and a pump to get it in there right away. So start the car, open fill hole, and pump in oil till it leaks out. Wait till it gets to 40c, wait till it drips, and not leaks, close fill cap. Be careful, shit gets hot quick under the car.
