K&N air filter

Hello,

Anyone in here have this installed, if so how long have you had it. I would like to get one but afraid it will cause more trouble then the extra air flow.

Air flow differences between different filters doesn't matter, that is K&N marketing-speak. The backpressure of the stock system is negligible. Clean vs dirty does matter.

There are dry K&N filters, and oiled ones. Stock intake, or aftermarket intakes.

Only differences from stock will be in the intake noise, (more), filtering (less) and filtering capacity (less).

So your recommendation is to clean the intake while I'm take it apart for Valley Pan and VCG services.

I have been running a K&N for close to a year now with no ill effects. didn't notice any difference in MPG or power, but it's nice to just clean your air filter instead of buying new ones.

Not sure if you are referring to air intake or intake manifold.

I'd inspect the air filter and replace it if it is dirty.
