Who wants a new shift boot?

I have contacted a company I have used before to create a custom shift boot. Since the X5 is not supported in their catalog, I am pioneering their first boot and will subsequently get their product at my cost of shipping and time to create a DIY install.

I had a couple of questions though. Is it the same shift boot for a 2001-2006 X5? Does our boot work in any other model? (it does not, that I am aware of.)

Who would be interested in a group buy at a special price? I know we have about 60 MT enthusiasts here. Pics below of my previous purchases. I bought and installed a shift boot, ebrake, and arm rest at the same time as my UUC Evo3 SSK+DSSR+ERK and RK5 knob set.

Redline goods?

I just spent 60 bucks on a new OEM shift boot as I broke the clips on the original one when installing my SSK, otherwise I'd be in.

Let me know cost though, I might entertain it. This will have to be glued/stapled to your existing trim ring on the E53 correct? And yes the shift boot is E53 specific and fits all E53 manual trans models.

Good eye, RB. It is Redline as mentioned in my personal update thread. In my case, my leather boot is all dry and cracked and shrunk. Mine is already peeling away from the plastic frame. It can be easily glued in, however the fit is so good, in my previous install I simply folded it over and snapped the rings in place, never had an issue. Cost on their site is 49.00 for one boot with reduced pricing based on total order. We could get a nice run of them done. Also, pricing and quality aside, the amount of custom options is very impressive. I will be getting a black perforated leather and I want a red/yellow/black ///M style stitching.

My boot seems to be in good shape, so not in the market right now. I do like the perforated leather in this application.

Bianca are you interested in getting in on the skid plate group buy? Its no longer in production but once we have 10 we have an M5Board member who is making a fresh run for us, cast in polyurethane plastic out of the original piece which was donated by our member Clockwork:

Well I want one for the sake of having one. Not sure what I would paint it to put it on the front of my X. I have been throwing around the idea of some rose gold accents (calipers, hitch assembly). Not sure I want to throw the dough at it right now. Unsure how that purchase fits into my end game.
