How often does your Air Suspension Pump/Compressor Come On?

Only had my 4.8is for a month or so now, and two of those weeks it wasn't being driven as I was performing a thorough overhaul of the vehicle.

Since it's been up and running I've noticed the pump coming on a decent amount (maybe one time a day). Granted it's only been two days since I put it back down on the ground so don't know if it's still readjusting from being jacked up, being filled with gas, putting passengers in the vehicle to run to lunch, etc.

Haven't noticed the car being low on any of the four corners, need to measure the ride height for baseline data.

How often do you guys hear your pump/compressor come on? Once a week, once a day, once a month?

Usually when I start the car it runs on startup for about 20-30 seconds.

Other than that it doesn't run much at all, unless I'm changing heights.

+1 for 20-30 secs upon startup after sitting all day.

I've even had it kick on before after I unlocked the doors and 3 people piled in, before I started em up!

It will kick in every time you start the vehicle as others have stated.

It's a bit like your headlights adjusting every time you start her up to. It's just to set the initial pressures etc to ensure it's sat where it should be.

THIS.

Sorry I wasn't clearer. Only runs after sitting all day or sitting overnight.

I was just trying to be clear, because it's very rare for me to hear it turn on if I just run into the store or let it sit for an hour or so.

If one of your airbags is leaking, the suspension system will kick on because it is

trying to keep your system level. You may need to have the bag replaced that is associated with that wheel that is adjusting. I have heard my compressor come on prior to me replacing my two rear wheel airbags so it may be related to the worn out bags.

Seriously. I never hear mine, unless I did something, and it needed to inflate. I never turn on radio, so that can't be making it hard to hear. But my car does rumble on startup. Dunno, don't usually hear it.
