I don't think so. You need to purchase one from Bentley (or amazon.co.uk or whatever their local address is for you.).
However, I just checked mine and there is only about 1 page of instructions (some references back to other sections though). It's pretty straightforward, though differentials are not *lightweight* at all. They are, in fact, quite heavy. I haven't messed with the X5 rear diff, but the one on the E36M3 weighed in at 80 lbs +/-. It makes a very loud noise when it hits the garage floor, or so I've heard... basically, you need to disconnect the driveshaft and the two axles. Usually male torx heads so you will need female torx sockets. Don't let any of this hang free but rather use stiff wire to support them out of the way, but not dangling. Then you need to support the diff from the steel/cast iron part with a jack or other lifting fixture. Loosen the diff bolts (probably means moving a heat shield and maybe the rear sway bar out of the way). Slowly and carefully remove the bolts, watching for the diff to shift around on your jack trying to fall onto your head or other vital organ/appendage. Lower to the ground. Fix. Replace. Regardless, if you plan on doing a lot of work yourself, spring for the Bentley manual. It's an investment that will save you time and money and make the work more enjoyable/less painful. Hope this helps.
