Heated seat back not working

Hi guys,

My drivers seat heater is not working properly. The seat bottom seems like it is getting hotter than normal, almost too hot to stand on the highest setting. The seat back is no longer warming up at all. At no time did the seat burn me like mentioned on some other threads.

So is there anyway that part of the seat is just unplugged. Or did the heating element wire probably just break somewhere. I'm not sure if i should go to the trouble to put in an aftermarket element or is it hopefully something simple.

Its a 2006 4.4i with sport pack

Thanks

how handy are you with multimeter? you can try to measure up the resistances in the heating pads... just make sure you do not turn the key in ignition when the under seat plug is unplugged, you will get the airbag light that will have to be reset...

and welcome aboard...
