Will an X70 roof rack fit on an X53?

Anyone know whether an X70 factory roof rack will fit on an X53?

Thanks!

Are you referring to the crossbars that are sold for the E70? If so and they are PN# 82710404320 the answer is yes. If you are referring the the rails attached to the roof of the vehicle IDK.

The E53 and E70 do not share roof rack systems. The one for the E53 can be found HERE

They are similar but I'm pretty sure that they aren't completely compatible

Thanks for the info! I thought they might be a little different, but saw a good deal on a used rack for an E70 in the Seattle area.

the best way really is to meet up with the seller and try them on yourself. E90 racks can be retrofitted into E46 even with totally different mounts. The only problem I can see is if the horizontal bars are either too long or too short much like how the X3 rack wont fit the X5...

That's how I determined the model # I listed fit on mine.

E70 racks on E53

I know an old post but.....I can say without a doubt they are compatible. I just installed my E70 rack from why wife's x5 which we sold on my 2006 E53.

Yes it will work

I bought a set from local BMW dealer for a e70 and fits on my x5 perfectly.

I use Rola's cross bars for my X and I think they look more factory then the factory cross bars.
