I'll bite. I just want to know how he gets 16 city / 22 highway with his 4.8is on straight gas pre HHO.

Props to him how clean his install is on the electronics.

I am curious how much the ~ 250watts (1/3rd of a horse power pre losses) his electrolysis creates in combustible BTU.

I'm getting 17-19mpg with 70% highway driving ...a few redlines when I'm in the mood..400 miles on a full tank ...how are you guys getting 11?
Maybe a tune-up is due?

First question: hydrogen, or HHO?

The former can power a vehicle, but not economically since it takes more energy to produce the hydrogen than you can get back out if it. It will be worthwhile when we have Mr Fusion reactors to make cheap and clean electricity, though. Hydrogen is better thought of as an energy storage system than as a fuel, IMO.

If the latter, then it is an injection system for HHO that is claimed to increase mileage. Same problem as above, it takes more energy to create the gas than it provides as a fuel, so it is in the same club as the turbinator, magnets on your fuel line to align the electrons, and the miracle 100 mpg carb that was suppressed by Big Oil, apparently. All urban myths.
Hey man, the turbinator works!

How are you even comparing 70% highway driving with driving in NYC. When you drive around here you might understand. And my car is more tuned than yours, trust me on this.

I got 10.7 L/100km or 22 MPG on my recent roadtrip from Edmonton, AB to Golden BC in my 4.8is (~600km)....

Hydrogen is a crock of shit unless you can create it using a catalyst which is more expensive than the extra money you would spend on gas.

Nobody is arguing on the tuned part.I understand the horrible traffic in NYC but still 11mpg is really low ...wasn't trying to be a smart Alec just pure curiosity

11 if i try. Yeah once i get out to nj or pa, huge diference. 17 fairly easy. My normal not tree hugger consumption is 10.3. I do more stop-go in 1 block than most people outside of NYC all day.
