You have installed a ULF therefore will need to add a pairing button attached to the wiring harness in the console. Your previous version was a TCU and automatically went into pairing but the ULF requires a pairing button to initiate. You can get (or at least was previously available) the adapter harness with the pairing button plug or can just identify the 2 wires in the harness necessary and just tap into them and then install a momentary contact switch to initiate.

i thought the wiring of the '04 allowed the pairing to happen without the dedicated "talking head" in the center console... and the ULF goes into pairing mode after a specific procedure with the key in the ignition - i just don't remember what the procedure was... lol...
never mind, i am probably mixing something up here... |

Ok I'm thinking that I might need a bluetooth antenna.. I connected the antenna cable that was on the Assist unit unless it's not bluetooth capable. I'm going to see where it's located and see if the part number is compatible.

If you already have the phone cradle in the console armrest then it is part of that connector within console. If you do not have the phone cradle in the arm rest then the connector is bundled and tucked down under the carpet. I had to remove the drivers' seat and loosen the console to access mine as it was buried deep. |
