The wife fixed it ! Temp sensors

Last weekend i brought the X to the garage for another..oil leaks (radiator / coolent hose)...i've notice the leaks only because i have removed the big plastic under cover in the front....anyway long story short, they fixed it and on my way back from the garage i got the check engine light on ..Uturn went back to the garage and code was related to new coolent hoses ...ok normal...so we erased.

Next morning, check engine on again...hood open, and try to figure this out, my wife came and look into it and say ! Hey this (temp sensor) is unplugged ...with her little hand, grab the thing, clicked it, and ... Boum... All fixed :-) check engine off. LOL incredible to see that even my wife (so not mechanics) can DIY !!!

Don't laugh. I was buttoning up the bumper on the hitch install and my wife came into the garage. I had painted the screws and nuts a ways away from the X5, so the shields were far away too. She mocks my tremclad usage, jokes about buying stocks in the company and asks what the big grey things were for. At least at that point I only had one of the T55 torx bolts in and not both. 2 Points for her today…..

I still get hang up at unplugged temp sensor trigger the SES. Must be a coincidence.
Your wife is a keeper. Mine doesn't touch any of this stuff but she makes me foods and drinks while I'm working on cars. That's all I need. I don't need oil and grease on her.
