I found this company in about 30 seconds. I'm sure this is where I bought mine.

Yep know about weathertech, though I've used catchall mats for along time now as the have color matched carpeted mats with a rubber backing and spill lip

What I was looking for is a waterproof liner that covers the entire floor, sidewalls and rear seat backs. There used to be an official BMW part which is now discontinued

That UKcustomcovers one would be great if you had a dog.

Plan:

Step 1: buy X5*
Step 2: buy custom cover
Step 3: buy dog*

*Subject to approval from Minster for Finance & War

Here's why I'm looking:

She's a 2 year old lab retriever mix and sheds like crazy. Her fur sticks to the black side walls and rear seat backs it takes me a hour to vacuum and brush the fur out every time she goes with us

Makes sense!

I bought a car sight unseen from interstate that turned up full of dog hair. Black carpet and short white coarse hair - it gets driven into the carpet and just impossible to get out, not to mention the smell that went in with it.

After hours vaccuming, I read a tip online that to put a dishwashing glove on one hand and sort of rub across the dog hair and follow with the vaccum using the other hand. Worked perfectly. The rubber glove grips the hair and pulls it right out.

Still reckon you should get that cover though......!

This is our 74 lb American Bulldog

With the black interior in the X showing all his short white hairs and the fibers in the carpet being such a low pile it's hard enough to vacuum when it's just me and my wife tracking it in and out of the car.

Her Rav4 has a much more open piled carpet on the floor, and it's gray interior so much more forgiving if it only gets cleaned out twice a month. We stick to bringing Chad places only in our car, the X gets driven less because of it but his white hairs on my all black interior would drive me mad.

We also bought a Kurgo Cover (google it) for her car that attached to the front and rear headrests. It ends up being a waterproof doggie hammock for the backseat so you don't have to fold the seats down. Chad loves it!

Oh my is he handsome! Beautiful color of his coat!

This is what we put in the backseat of my wife's car for Chad, we just put one of his blankets down but he loves it!

Kurgo Atomic Drop Dog Hammock

IMO for our bigger dogs if you are going to put them in the X I prob wouldn't put them in the cargo area, 1) for accidents if you get rear ended, and 2) The slope of the hatch doesn't allow for much room for them in the rear as far as "head room" goes

My solution is to have multiple vehicles. Minivan for the dogs and the X5 for the daily driver runs, M5 for blasting, and a E39 528 for hwy vacation runs. This way no dog hairs in the good cars.
The WeatherTech mats are great, the rears are available for the pull out trays and non pull out trays. If you want WeatherTech interior mats with BMW logos, order them from ECS tuning and choose the OE mats sets from BMW. Same mat with logos and cheaper too!
There is a full cover of sorts for dogs available from Bavarian Auto, which looks the same but will not be the OE version your looking for. Here it is at Kurgo, Cargo Cape Cargo Cape | Protection for SUV from Dog.

I tried to find the mats your looking for for one of my three series wagons a while ago without luck.
