Twin Axle Air suspension 2 post lift procedure?

I just purchased an X5.

When putting it on my 2 post lift and running the engine is there a procedure to disable the air suspension?

From my experience there is nothing you need to do...

Or are you asking that you want to disable it?

I'm not 100% convinced.

Running the engine with the car in the air, the air suspension is going to start trying to compensate...

The wheels will hang to the limit of the travel. The air suspension will reduce pressure, thinking that the vehicle is too high. It isn't going to go past the minimum pressure, ie try and suck the wheels back up.

I don't see the problem.

Huh...and here I thought the wheels would extend until they got down to the floor!

Hopefully the documentation below will "convince" you.

There are control limits for activation...one of them is when on a lift: the system is deactivated when the max articulation (for which ever leveling system you have) is reached.
