Were there ever any 20" style 63's?

Saw these online...look like 20" style 63's.

I'm digging them

They could be aftermarket.

From what I've seen, BMW only made 63s in 19x9 & 19x10 sizes.

Ricky Bobby will become famous soon enough
Probably replicas although most likely not available anymore due to the age of the E53.

PropellerHead has 20" replica Style 132's which I think look amazing.

i just tried searching the tire/rim thread we had here, can't find it - my searching skills suck... but we had some nice threads here, i even posted there some info... there should be info on the rim models and what sizes it came from the factory for which model car...

They look HEAVY to me. When it comes to unsprung items, I ALWAYS think lighter. Has the same effect as installing stiffer springs/swaybars/shocks&struts. Knocking 1lb off unsprung weight has the same performance effect as 7lb of sprung weight. I've knocked over 40lb off (wheels/tires/rotors/ceramic pads), that's like dropping off two 140lb passenger.

that brings up a question - what is sprung and what is unsprung weight?

Its something that means a lot if you are driving a race-car, and have finely tuned suspension.

It's something that doesn't matter much if at all to daily-drivers.

Sprung weight is that which is suspended by the vehicle's suspension. Unsprung weight is everything "downstream of that. It includes springs, some suspension components, part of the driveshafts, brakes, wheels and tyres.

RB, I've seen 20" 132's in person as well and they do look amazing!

TX5, I did browse through those wheel threads. Lots of info in them for sure on OE and aftermarket wheels. This (bigger style 63's) was just something I had never seen anywhere prior.

Unsprung weight is any weight not carried by the suspension of the vehicle. Basically everything from the springs/shocks to the tires.

TiAg, yes they were available OE only in the sizes you mentioned, they are what I have on currently.

On unsprung weight, yeah, they do look heavy as hell. But the rest of the truck is not light anyway so screw it. :P

Now that it's been mentioned it seems to me (personal opinion) that the E53 looks best with weighty looking wheels. With its huge flanks and black plastic around the wheel openings making the openings look bigger, it takes a chunky wheel to look good in there.

Are you sure those are 63's and not 214's from the e71 I think?
