Angry Brake job in South Jersey!!!!!

Guys,

I DID search forums but only got a few leads and looking for some more current ones closer to my house.

Looking for some suggestions for good independent service shops in the southern new jersey area. i live in Mt. Laurel.

Took the 2002 X5 into Desimone BMW today for some minor warranty fixes and to look at some paint that is wearing off of my hood on the side. They called me this afternoon to tell me that I definitely need new brakes. 2mm front & 3 mm rear left on the pads. $1,100 to replace pads and rotors. said I must replace rotors with pads???

Anyway, I don't want to pay dealer prices, plus i want to get the dustless Mintax pads. looking for a good shop in South Jersey for the work to go to?????

They have a regional BMW guy coming to see my paint issue tomorrow...maybe I can weasel a free brake job out of it for the faulty paint craftsmanship?

A quick look at Yahoo YellowPages turns up one in Palmyra, jes'over the Tac-Pal bridge. I have no exp with this shop. A lil' digging on Yahoo or Google should turn up more privateers.
Easy stuff, imo.

Here in northern NJ using all BMW parts, rear brakes are $440.00. If you want to come this far I'll give you their name. Yes rotors are designed to be replaced along with the wear senors.

I live in Mt Laurel too. Check out Brother to Brother, the mechanic there is a very experienced / certified BMW and Porche Mechanic, former aircraft mechanic. Many of my friends have gone to him for their 60K check-up, he charges about half the price of De Simone.

Brother 2 Brother Repair Shop
70 Tidswell Ave
Medford, NJ

I also suggest buying some aftermarket brake pads such as Axxis Delux, alot less brake dust and work as well as or maybe better than OEM.
