Passing time at 130mph is a fantastic way of making sure your engine oil reaches proper operating temperature. It can also identify previously undiscovered wheel and tire vibrations, not to mention wind leaks around door and window seals. Well done!
I also had a great experience with a Nebraska state trooper who stopped me as I entered on the Eastern border at 80mph and indicated I was sure to contribute to their state funds if I continued to drive like that on my way to Denver.
