I don't think you can change the volume of the beeper. But don't worry, the lights will go out by themselves in about 9 or 10 hours. Then all you'll need is jumper cables.

Sorry, it made me laugh. A few times with the jumper cables should improve your memory!

The windows will need your key to be in position 1 at least. The radio will work without the key. Just press on the volume knob, or press on the "Audio" button on the top-left of the receiver.
I have not timed this, but if the car has not been fired up, the radio will shut itself off in about 30 minutes. You can again press the volume knob or audio button and restart it. I have run the radio for around 90 minutes once. Perhaps I was on the brink of battery drainage? How is a man supposed to wax in silence?

Is it alright to leave the Light-sensing Headlamps on when turning off the car? I think that's what I've been doing, from memory, and they seem to shut off fine. Perhaps that's an option that not all models have, but I've never come out to find the lights on (in the whole week this X5's been mine. LOL). And yes, the radio stays on 20 minutes on a push, at least as far as the little electronics booklet says. Having suffered through some battery/electrical probs on my 740IL before, I for one won't take a chance past 20 minutes! |
