In the 2005 X5 Accessory brochure (available at the BMW dealer), you will find it on page 20:
A. Hitch Step with Lock Pin Durable Cast-aluminum step folds down when a little lift is needed, folds up to reveal an engraved X5 logo. Part no:82 11 0 027 933 Price: $49.00 Hope that helps. |

Anyone know if this hitch cover has a lock to it? I've already had someone steal my rubber receiver cap, so if this thing has a lock to it, I may try it.
I know it has a lock pin, so you have stability when stepping on it, but it wasn't clear if the lock also prevents theft. |

I bought a locking hitch pin, $25 on ebay. Works great.

$25 no tax, including shipping, for a class III (not II) no - that is a great price.

thanks ncx. actually I was hoping for a pic of your hitch setup too.
Anyone know if hitch lock will work with the hitch cover above? |
