this is where a 3D Printer would come in handy. A legit trailer hitch cover could have been engineered and printed for the group.

I wante dto do the same with one of my two tow hitch area covers, BUT how do you access the 7 pin port to install trailer wiring?

Pull the cover off when you connect. I've seen a parked E53 X5 with perfect cut-out and looked much clearer from the rear. I'm surprised BMW didn't offer cover with factory hitch.

Called the dealer today

Has to be ordered...it was on back order ..."should "be in on the 28th of August but they're not sure ...
So pretty much what they're saying is that they have it for sale but don't know when or even if they can get it..gotta call around more dealerships
