Memory seats button's not working anymore

I have read thread regarding this problem and the fixed solution was to replace the entire actuator plate +/- $400. .. this seems to me the last option... but just woundering if some of you was able to fix this issue without going to that stage ? Curious if this can be related to dead fuse or bad connexion or anything else ?

Thanks guys

Marc

Hello term, well the red button still light on when i press on it but it seems that i lost all my memories from the 1 and 2 button. I have tried repetitively to re-program but it just not recording anything. My steering adjustment still working thought
I.e. Steering going up when i turn off the key and down when i turn on ...everything start with my right mirror which automaticly adjust low view when i put in reverse but went a bit random crazy lately.... I like the feature since my wife and i have very different driving position.....i'm thinking of my batterie that it might be due to be replace.....

the WDS differentiates between comfort seats and other seats.. the comfort ones have the moving headrests, so, couple extra wires...

i would start from simple to more complex... the last resort is to replace the module but before that, i would check the wiring, to see if there are any broken, chaffed, or otherwise compromised wires... the seat is a moving object, with wires under the seat that can be pinched, cut off and what not...

the WDS shows 4 plugs under the seat, 3-, 4-, 12-, and 15-pin connectors... check them out, see what is up with them... if the need be, don't be afraid to remove the seat and flip it upside down, there are only 2 nuts and 2 bolts holding the seat, the front bolts have plastic covers...

Oh, there will be a plug under the seat that has YELLOW cover, and some other YELLOW markings - that is airbag related plug, when the plug is disconnected do NOT turn the ignition on, otherwise you will get the airbag light on the cluster...

so, check for wiring damage first...
