Now what, aarrghh!!!!
Replaced on 5/2/2014, purchased from bmwminipartstore $76. Still under 24 months BMW parts warranty. I'm sick and tired of this. Coolant level always maintained at the correct level (end of the red float aligned with the upper edge of the filler opening).2005 X5 4.4 110K miles. Last edited by X5only; 10-13-2014 at 10:36 AM. |

Hmmmm must be a V8 since my coolant cap is right over my radiator.

My V8 expansion tank doesn't look like that.

TheBMWMiniPartstore folks are sending me a replacement today (with fedex return label for the faulty one) since it was still within BMW 24 months warranty. Great customer service there!

I had the same problems with the 200 cap, I bought a 180 cap and now I don't have the expansion tank leaks. Be thankful it was an expansion tank and not the radiator.
