It might take a while to figure out the one in the first pic. The trailer harness is back ordered without a potential ship date. Bummer too, it has a hitch, just no wires

As for the cd changer, I have it plugged in. It powers up the cdc, but there is no extra dsp wire to plug in. So no way to output audio.

The part number on the one near the right tail is 8 364 655. I know it's missing the first 4 digits. But they weren't there. There's a 968 153-1 above those numbers. Is it possible these cars come presided for pdc? The two wire is pdc speaker and this one is the pdc module?
The one with 3 pins in a 6 pin connector does not have Ibus. Just a blue/yellow, yellow/red, and a yellow/grey.

Again, thanks for the help and ideas.
Your X is an 01 and may not have the six pins connector as the later X for DSP. For DSP in the early X there's a coax cable from the CDC to the DSP power amp. That's how the signal is sent to the power amp.

the audio wire for the CDC is there - all BMWs were pre-wired for CDC since early to mid nineties (the US spec'd ones)... the wire might be taped under the bunch of other wires and as upallnight said, it could be a coax, not the six-pin one...

the car is probably pre-wired for the PDC - you need to pop the L-shaped battery cover, and see if there are three connectors hanging (taped off) along the long side of the battery - blue, black and white... to get the PDC installed you will need the module, the 8 sensors, the rear harness, the rear speaker, and i don't remember if there were any relays for the PDC...

Nice. Good news. I'll have a look. I'll also need bumpers right? On my 7 the sensors were mounted in a trim that was changeable. So it was an easy retrofit. Looks like the x is in the bumpers though.

I thought it might be a coax. I'll have to dig around more. I didn't find one when look yesterday. Only the one going to the amp.
Btw, this car doesn't have nav. Just dsp

the bumpers have pre-notched indentations on the inside, but you need to figure out how to cut them...

Coax is not a part of the wiring harness. It is a cable from the CDC to the amp.

Here's a picture of the cable.

I know the cable. My amp currently has one on it. That mean I need to find the other end?

Edit:
Well, that's a dead end. Followed the wire up into the area just behind the rear door. One coax ended at the antenna array, the other continued up even farther into what looks like another antenna.
To get a better look I'll need to pull the carpeted panel out. That looks like quite the job. It's on there pretty tight.

why would antenna leads go to an amp? they can go to a radio, nav, TV, remote lock... Are you sure you have ID'd the amp correctly?

try to search in the same vicinity of the 3-pin CDC connector - the audio connector should be somewhere there...
