A bad fuel pump does not throw up any codes. The engine will just quit running or not start because the engine is not getting any gas.

A WILD guess: something went through your intake bank 1 all the way
![]() That's one over 1 million chance, so let's forget it. I just feel something wrong with your wiring harness, xuz all related to sensors, maybe just one tiny area got hit by a flying rock. . GL!

Search e46fanatics.com for those codes and you will find your answer. M54 engine is much more prevalent in that car and you will get many more results there. Could be any number of things off hand. Bad vacuum leak, crank case breather, secondary air pump, secondary air valve, cam sensor(s)?
Were there any symptoms before hand? Or did it just start running rough out of nowhere and you had to pull over? Rough running on cold starts? And yes, one of those could cause the others. I'm actually surprised you didn't start getting rich or lean codes along with the ones you posted. |

If it just happened, I would look at the hoses from the secondary air pump. Could be that one of the end just pop off. Secondary hoses are located on the passenger side of the engine. They are plastic hose and they click into place. To un clip them you need to squeeze the fittings.

At almost 100,000 miles and 13 years you are nearing the point when most of the plastic and rubber hoses/components are going to start needing replacement. |
