'01 Auto Headlamp Retrofit Help Needed

So I have decided to attempt this retrofit as I wanted to see if it was something that I could accomplish but am running into some issues along the way and seeking any help or guidance from somone that has completed successfully. I have read nearly every post of people doing this but still am having some question/issues in getting my wipers to function correctly. I have the LCM 4 installed (VIN and mileage set correctly so no tamper dot in IC), new switch with the auto position installed and the AIC replaced by an RLS. What I am running into is my rain sensing wipers are not fuctioning and cannot determine if it is a problem with the RLS and/or I need to code something additionally. I am not sure if I actually need to get the RLS added into the VO (vehicle order of coding) or if it is ok the way it is. When I connect via INPA, I can pull up the RLS and the light sensor readings are showing and changing correctly but the optics for the rain sensor are all showing 255. Initially I purchased a used RLS from Ebay and upon it arriving I had found a small electronic component (151 printed on it) loose and floating around inside the enclosure and could see where on the circuit board it had become detached. The seller was gracious enough to send a replacement and upon that one arriving found that the same component had become detached from the circuit board! I then found one locally at a junk yard and confirmed that there were no loose components prior to purchasing but after installing and not having any luck with it working finally heard something rattling around inside of it and upon examing found that it too had a detached component (a different one that the other 2). Now my challenge is to determine if that is the sole reason for the rain sensing portion not working or if I need to code something additionally with the car. If anyone could give me any insight it would be greatly appreciated and if anyone has an RLS locally that they would let me install for testing purposes that would be greatly appreciated as well! Thanks in advance for any assistance that anyone can offer.
