bmw540san is on a distinguished road
I love everything about my new to me 4.6is X5 but one thing

Exhaust tips.

I know it's been discussed and some like it and some not. I don't care if my X5 is going to get recognized on road as 4.6is or not. The oval round exhaust tips simply don't do it for me.

Since X5 is black, I'll stick with chrome for nice contrast. if it was silver, I'd probably look for black chrome.

Some preliminary measurements lead me to these:

SILVERLINE CHROME Dipped Double Walled 3.0" OD Exhaust Tip

While they're expensive, I will not buy crap at Pep Boys or similar and have them rust out in 2 weeks.

Before I pull the trigger, I'll have to do more measuring. Hopefully, there are people who like the oval ones as mine will be for sale.
